Paris
Bottman has been entertaining
us with her whimsical characters for over 20 years. Her 'dressed
animal' career began with a series of handmade and porcelain
figures and proceeded to the current colored pencil drawings
and watercolors. Paris delights in bringing a smile to our faces
with her creations. Paris is currently enjoying a new line of hand colored block prints that have been printed as OKAY cards and the Noteables line of little purse pads, sticky pads and round resin magnets. She lives and works in Salt Lake City. |

Laini Taylor is a writer & artist. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Jim (also an artist), their brand-new daughter, Clementine Pie, and their old dog Leroy. Her first novel, Blackbringer, was published in 2007 by Putnam, and the sequel, Silksinger, will be out in September 09. Her third book, Lips Touch, will be published in October 09 by Arthur A. Levine Books, an imprint of Scholastic. Laini's gift product line, Laini's Ladies, launched in 2005. I believe our dreams are REAL THINGS, not wisps and air, and it is our job in this life to make them come true, because no one else will do it for us, and because this is our one and only "wild & precious life"!

Maren
Schaffner lives
with her gang of cats (8 at the moment), and 2 dogs in an old
farmhouse in a windswept area between the North Sea and the
Baltic. The North German countryside with its wind and weather
provide her with great inspiration. Exhibitions of her paintings
enjoy enormous popularity in Germany and abroad.

They
are broads with a capital B, as in Broad
Appeal, a new line of greeting cards created by writer
Tracy Kunzler and well-known
artist Vicki Bruner. The
line includes the thirty six cards, beveled edge fridge pads, dress-up magnets, Say What!? boxed magnets.
The concepts are fresh, humorous, slightly edgy and just the

Once
Upon a Card's
vivid, playful photography invites you into a captivating world
of whimsy, romance, and sophisticated humor. And if some of
our photographs beg to tell you a story, we let them. We hope
our cards transport you to another place and time, renew your
sense of wonder and worth, or simply tickle you with good-natured
ribbing. Most of all, we hope they make your day, or someone
else's, just a little bit better. |
